General Manager of MAPFRE AM

Javier has been the General Manager of MAPFRE AM since 2018. He has more than 25 years of experience in financial asset management. He is a firm proponent of long-term investment based on macroeconomic analysis. Javier received a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Zaragoza and an MBA in Business Management from the Instituto de Empresa business school in Madrid. He is CESGA certified.

MAPFRE AM Assistant General Manager

Patrick has been working in financial markets for over 30 years. After conducting business studies in Paris (at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce), he began his professional career in Stockholm. He joined the MAPFRE AM team in Madrid in the early1990s. Convinced of the importance of merging economic common sense and scientific rigor, he has been studying and applying mathematical techniques and statistical learning to the decision-making process for years. Patrick is a CFA and CESGA. In addition to Spanish, he speaks French, Swedish and English. He is a director of the MAPFRE AM SICAV and board member of the Governance Committee of La Financière Responsable.

Institutional Business Development Manager at MAPFRE AM. Eduardo has 25 years of experience in the finance sector. He began his professional career at AB ASESORES and has worked at companies such as BANCO MADRID and UBI BANCA INTERNATIONAL. He was Business Development Manager at TREA AM until 2019, when he joined MAPFRE AM. He holds a degree in Business Sciences from Complutense University of Madrid, an INTERNATIONAL MBA from IE Business School and has been a member of the EFPA since 2003.

Discretionary Portfolio Management Equities Manager at MAPFRE AM

Cristina has more than 20 years of experience in the finance sector. She began her career as a financial analyst at Beta Capital. She worked as an analyst at M&A consultancy firm, Noqca Partners, and later joined MAPFRE as an equity manager.

She has a degree in Economics and Business from the Comillas Pontifical University ICADE (E-2) business school.

Cristina is certified as a CEFA (Certified European Financial Analyst) and CESGA (Certified Environmental Social and Governance Analyst)

Fixed Income Manager, MAPFRE AM. David Iturralde graduated with a degree in Business Administration from the University of Alcalá de Henares. He also has two Master's degrees from the Applied Finance Institute of International Financial Analysts (IFA), one in Banking and Finance and the second (an Executive Master's degree) in Quantitative Finance. He has been certified as an ESG CESGA analyst by EFFAS since 2020. David Iturralde began his professional career as a consultant at AFI before joining MAPFRE AM SGIIC, S.A. as a manager in 2006. He was later appointed Fixed Income Manager at MAPFRE AM.

Manuel has been Equities Manager for Collective Investment Institutions and Pension Funds since 2018. With more than 20 years of experience in financial asset management, he began his career as an international stockbroker with Mercavalor SV, before joining MAPFRE AM. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

Administration and Finance Manager at MAPFRE Vida Pensiones EGFP, S.A.

Luis Miguel has been Administration and Finance Manager since 2010 and Regulatory and Legal Compliance Manager since 2015. He has more than 30 years experience in managing pension plans and funds. Luis Miguel studied Business Sciences at Complutense University of Madrid. He is accredited as a Certified Environmental Social and Governance Analyst – CESGA from the European Federation of Financial Analyst Associations (EFFAS).

Head of Risk Management. CESGA

Arteaga has a long track record in the industry. She joined MAPFRE AM in April 2022 from CaixaBank AM, the fund manager she worked with after it merged with Bankia Fondos, which she had called home for the previous 15 years. She has always been closely involved with the Risks area, and for the last five years she had headed up the department. Arteaga previously worked at AXA, from 2000 to 2006, and her joining the MAPFRE AM team is an integral part of the ambitious growth plans envisaged by the fund manager, which has its sights set on foreign markets, institutional clients and sustainability.

As Administration Manager at MAPFRE AM, S.G.I.I.C., Alfonso manages all administrative processes in the calculation of NAVs of MAPFRE Investment Funds and Pension Funds. With more than 35 years of experience in financial management, he started in an administrative role in 1985 at GESCONSULT, S.G.I.I.C. In 1990, he moved to PRICOA VIDA, a subsidiary of Prudential Insurance Company of America, as Deputy Back Office Manager. In 1992, he joined GLOBAL GESTION, S.G.I.I.C., working in Administration Management, where he remained until 1994, when he joined MAPFRE AM, S.G.I.I.C. as Administration Manager.
