During this period, the assets managed by MAPFRE AM have exceeded €1.2 billion.

The company gives its clients access to a range of more than 15,000 funds from the world’s top managers, including MAPFRE AM.

MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial is MAPFRE’s unit that offers financial investment solutions to its clients, enabling their savings to grow. It has now been 5 years since it launched its first customized portfolios on the market, adapted to each client’s risk profile. Specifically, the company designed four of these portfolios, suitable for a range of “conservative” to “very risk tolerant” investors, and they have produced cumulative returns from 12.59% to 67.74% (10.94% annualized). “From the beginning, the objective at MAPFRE AM has been to create an alignment of interests between the MAPFRE Group’s investments and our clients. By managing customized portfolios, we have been able to maximize returns, in a way that is always adapted to each client’s risk profile, while also optimizing diversification and putting the focus on investment funds with active management,” explains Miguel Ángel Segura, general manager at MAPFRE Inversión.

Over time these positive returns have served as a good calling card for the company, and they have also led to impressive growth of the managed assets. In October, the volume of assets managed in open architecture exceeded €1.2 billion, which represents more than 55% year-on-year growth.

MAPFRE AM has over 100 agents and 5 offices. It began its operations in Madrid three and a half years ago. Since then, it has opened offices in Valencia, Barcelona and, more recently, Seville and Bilbao. In addition to doubling the number of agents, the company plans to open five more offices during the 2022-2023 period. “In our business model we have followed MAPFRE’s philosophy of valuing close relationships with the clients, offering a wide range of products and services that can meet their needs. The role of the advisor has also been a key piece of the puzzle, with a unique approach to financial advising through a platform, infrastructure, and opportunities for development. At MAPFRE AM, the clients and their advisors receive our full attention,” adds the general manager of MAPFRE Inversión and head of MAPFRE AM.

The company’s clients have access to a platform offering a range of over 15,000 mutual funds from the world’s top asset managers, with the ability to subscribe, transfer and/or redeem units in a fully dynamic environment. Specifically, the five funds contributing the highest returns to the portfolios have been MAPFRE AM, Oddo BHF, Schroder, BNY Mellon and Vontobel. In the case of MAPFRE’s management, which now covers more than €40 billion in assets, highlights include the Fondmapfre Bolsa América and MAPFRE AM Behavioral Fund in the more risk tolerant portfolios, and MAPFRE AM Capital Responsable, which is a fund that invests using ESG criteria, in the more conservative portfolios.
