I have a problem here, I’m really conflicted... I can spend a week listening to Puccini and then switch in a heartbeat to AC/DC, with a little bit of American country and 90's Spanish pop along the way

Patrick Nielsen, Deputy General Manager at MAPFRE AM

  • Your favourite music group?

My musical taste is becoming more and more classic and diverse. The great baroque composers, medieval music, romantic composers, recent composers. I also listened to a lot of rock in my youth (I was in a band and participated in a radio show in the eighties), so for nostalgia's sake I'm going to mention Joy Division because it had a huge impact on me.

Carlos de Ancos, Fixed Income Manager at MAPFRE AM

  • Your favorite music group?

I don't have any real favorite group and the music I listen to depends on the mood I’m in and what’s going on. From the pop and rock of the 80s and 90s, through to the English music that my close, music-loving friend Samuel introduced me to as a teenager, to more commercial and current music that I listen to with my daughters. Can’t forget the “pachanga” either, which is a must at any party or celebration.

BONUS TRACK

And last but not least, all of us on the Communication team who prepare the Financial Newsletter every week want to share our favorite songs, and have included them in the Spotify playlist. Daniel Badía's favourite song is Don’t look back in anger, by Oasis, and Marta Pachón's, Livin’ on a prayer, by Bon Jovi. Javier Caamaño highlights París, by Morat and Duki, but admits that any song from Los 40 or Europa FM, such as Vagabundo by Sebastián Yatra or 1000 Cosas by Manuel Turizo or Lola Índigo, is good to sing in the car.
