Eight MAPFRE advisors have been nominated to Citywire Spain's Private Banking Awards

MAPFRE, through its financial advisory firm, MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial, has eight finalists in the third edition of the Private Banking Awards organized by the specialized publication, Citywire. The nominees, who you can vote for until September 11 at this link, are: Irene Domínguez Fernández, Eduardo Estallo, Jesús González Santiago, Cristian Herrezuelo Miguel, Antonio Jiménez Colilla, Andrea Rico Cabrera, and Lluis Saltó Jordana.

For more than 25 years, Citywire has been building a community for fund selectors and managers, as well as for financial advisors, private bankers, and asset managers. The Private Banking Awards were created in 2021 to recognize professionals on an individual basis as well as companies providing private banking and financial advisory services. “Our objective is to continue to serve the community and to commend the good practices of the financial industry by recognizing the amazing work of different players,” stated the publication.

Lluis Saltó Jordana, a financial advisor at MGP in Barcelona, already received the award of “Best Banker of the East” in last year's edition, which featured more than 40 companies and over 200 bankers. MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial was also a finalist in the categories of "Best Investment Proposal" and "Agent Network of the Year".

 

 

 

Here are details about the eight finalists from MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial in the different categories of this year's edition (in alphabetical order according to last name):

 

Irene Domínguez Fernández 

 

Irene, an agent at MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial for over seven years, has had one of the longest relationships with the firm. Before that, she worked at Banco Mediolanum. She has a degree in Economic and Business Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, is EFPA certified, and did a doctorate on econometrics and quantitative economics at the UNED.

Eduardo Estallo Giral 

 

Eduardo, who is EFPA certified, has been at MAPFRE for over two years. Given his immense popularity on social networks, with 25,000 followers and counting on Twitter, he is one of MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial’s ambassadors at Finect.

Jesús González Santiago 

 

Jesús has had extensive experience working with different investment firms, including Banco Santander, X-Trade Brokers, iCapital, Andbank, and Tressis, until he joined MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial in October 2022 in the Balearic Islands.

Cristian Herrezuelo Miguel 

From the beginning, at the DGT in Madrid, Cristian’s career has almost always had some connection to MAPFRE, and he joined the company more than five years ago. In addition to being EFPA certified, he has also received EFFAS international ESG certification. He is regarded as an experienced professional in sales team management and development, as well as in financial advising and asset management.

Antonio Jiménez Colilla 

 

Antonio, who has been an asset manager at MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial for four and a half years, has more than 15 years of experience in the world of finance. He has a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Castilla-La Mancha and is EFPA certified. He also has several master’s degrees in finance from the UNED and Camilo José Cela University.

Daniel Pérez 

 

David Pérez defines himself as a passionate of Factor Investing and Investment Funds. He specializes in the selection of funds and in the construction of portfolios with different objectives, where he has extensive experience. He recently joined MAPFRE Gestión Patrimonial's network of agents.

New in 2023

The most important new feature this year is that finalists will have to defend an investment proposal online in a video interview, which will only be seen by the jury and not shared online. At a ceremony on November 16, the winners of the following categories will be announced:

 

General categories

- Best Private Banker of the Year (Man).

- Best Private Banker of the Year (Woman).

- Most Promising Private Banker of the Year (under 35 years old).

Bankers under 35 can only participate in this category. The rest of the bankers automatically qualify for both their region’s category and the national category.

 

 

Regional categories

- Best Private Banker of the Year for each of the following regions:

- Central: Castile and León, Madrid, and Castilla-La Mancha.

- East: Aragon, Catalonia, Valencia, and the Balearic Islands.

- North: Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, the Basque Country, La Rioja, and Navarre.

- South: Andalusia, Extremadura, Murcia, the Canary Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla.
